Love Over Lies

Joshua Van Oostrom

Sometimes it is easier to lie and sometimes it is easier to tell the truth. But my God cannot lie, for He is the truth. The gross amount of deception in this world will only grow in magnitude as judgement day creeps closer. This will result in two simultaneous happenings. One, the division between the truth and the lies will increase to reveal a visible dichotomy of two distinct sides. This will embolden God’s servants on earth in knowing they clearly made the right decision to trust solely on Him. Secondly, the manipulation of truth will rise to unimaginable levels and those stuck in the darkness will have an even harder time turning towards the light.

Humans have become excellent liars. Many tell lies completely subconsciously because the devil has tricked them into believing a lie themselves. The enemy has convinced people that if they tell a lie and no one notices, then no one gets hurt. One hundred percent of the time a lie gets told, someone does suffer and one hundred percent of the time you tell a lie, that someone is you. Since the enemy has trained many so well, their lies become more and more complex. Some truth will always be sprinkled into the web of lies to make it all sound believable. Lying has become so common, that many truth-sayers have had their authenticity questioned by other truth-sayers. This is another one of the devil’s elaborate schemes. I know these things to be true because I lived them.

I could spin one heck of a lie before the Lord changed my life forever. I could masterfully manipulate others into believing my hogwash by telling them only what they needed to know. Thankfully, my Lord is a God of love, not lies. For it is this love that brought the Truth into the world and in doing so, set His children free. At this moment in time, the things that are hidden in darkness are being revealed for all to see. God is giving the world a grace period to decide who they want to serve: The God of truth or the great pretender. It is all being thrown out into the open like an episode of Judge Judy. And the audience (you) gets to decide who they believe is telling the truth. This opportunity does not come around often and boy am I grateful to be alive in this moment of time.

What the world is about to witness is an unveiling unlike any other. It is God’s love for us (His grace) that is pushing back against the darkness and giving many the chance to repent. For we willingly allowed this evil to permeate throughout our world by our own sinful desires. We deserve to live the rest of our lives in fear and dread, but God’s grace has and will save many in this time. The beginning of the end of evil’s reign on this earth is coming, but it is not yet.

The devil, like he has always done, will learn from these times. He has and will continue to deceive a large majority of the entire world. His recent attempt was planned far in advance, but its lack of longevity resulted in minimal damage. It did not equate to the mass scale of deception required for world domination which is present in the Book of Revelation. God, as always, thwarted the plans of wickedness; for He knows all things. His love wins now and forever. There are no more intricate explanations or excuses. There are only two decisions. Love (the truth) or lies. God has left the choice up to you. Hallelujah!
